
Tech support at TimeCruiser watched server access and informed me that there were three consecutive connections granted (connection, download headers, download content) and each time data was sent to the phone. I've deleted the account and recreated it checked all settings to make sure they were correct, including mapping each folder to the appropriate folder on my IMAP list in advanced settings restored phone to factory default and even sat on the phone for an hour and a half with my mail provider tech support. Mail on iOS6 would fetch on my set fetch schedule (15 minutes) and manually getting mail did not take over five minutes like it does now. After upgrading to iOS7 on my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 my mail app no longer fetches from my IMAP account hosted through TimeCruiser/CampusCruiser and manually getting messages takes five-ten minutes.
